Highlighting text as you read

Two kinds of highlight, and how to make your own.

Your own highlights — green

Select any text in the question with your mouse or your finger. It turns green immediately. There's nothing to confirm and no button to press first.

To remove one, click or tap the green text and it goes.

Your highlights are saved against that question on that device, so when you meet the question again your marks are still there. They're yours — nobody else sees them.

A 62-year-old smoker has a three-month history of cough and haemoptysis. Chest X-ray shows a 3 cm right hilar mass. What is the next best step?

CReassure and review in six months
DStart empirical antibiotics

Molim's highlights — yellow

Some questions carry key terms marked by our team. These appear yellow, automatically, and only in Study Mode after you've answered — never before, so they can never give the answer away.

You don't control these and can't remove them. They're there to pull your eye to the words in the stem that decided the answer, which is usually the one line you skimmed.

Marking the stem as you read forces you to decide what the question is actually asking before you look at the options. On a long vignette that is most of the work.
