Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and who else sees it.
Last updated
Welcome to Molim. We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your personal data confidential. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and how it is protected.
What we collect
When you register — your name, your email address, and the exam you are preparing for. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google; we never see your Google password.
As you study — your answers, which questions you have seen and how you did on them, your session history, and anything you create yourself: notes, flags, favorites and folders.
Automatically — the usual technical records a website keeps, and anonymous usage statistics.
What we never have: your card number. Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider and card details do not pass through Molim.
Why we collect it
- To run your account and show you your own work
- To tell you which questions you have answered, and which you got wrong — the record that makes a second pass through the bank worth anything
- To show you where you are strong and weak, by subject and by system
- To send you account and billing email, and to answer you when you contact support
- To find and fix faults
Who else sees it
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. We share only what is needed to run the platform, with:
- Lemon Squeezy — takes payments and holds your billing details, as merchant of record
- Google — sign-in, if you use it, and anonymous usage statistics
- Loops — sends account email
- Sentry — receives error reports when something breaks
- Our hosting provider — runs the servers your data sits on
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Your own device
Some things you make are kept in your browser rather than on our servers — the green highlights you draw on a question are the main one. They stay on the device you made them on, we never see them, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Keeping it safe
We protect your data to current technical standards: it travels encrypted, passwords are stored hashed and never in readable form, and access to the systems holding it is restricted.
No service can promise that a breach is impossible. If one ever affected your data, we would tell you.
Your choices
- See and change your details — Settings
- Delete your own data — Settings has controls for clearing your progress, notes and favorites, permanently
- Delete your account entirely — email admin@molim.co
- Stop account email — write to us; billing email we must keep sending while you have a subscription
